Saucy Fish Co – New products!

Hello Brits! Hope you’re all enjoying the Jubilee weekend so far. I am relaxing, coding up my new site and looking forward to not having to go back to work for another couple of days!
I’ll be honest, I’ve been massively slack on this one because I’ve had quite a few other great things to write about and this one slipped off the radar. Saucy Fish Co have introduced some new products to their already fabulous range – I previously wrote about their stuff here. Unfortunately though they did send me some vouchers and I ventured to the biggest Tesco in the area, they didn’t have the new stuff at the time. I did however get some of their salmon fillets and new (to me at least) Teriyaki sauce which I made into a stir fry. I also tried their smoked haddock which is DIVINE. Those who read my blog regularly may know I haven’t been fish’s greatest fan in the past, and I wasn’t 100% sure I was going to like smoked haddock but I DO! Only have mackerel to conquer on the fish spectrum now, that’s just one fish too far at the moment.
Saucy Fish Co sauces are great because they’re long-lasting and handy to keep in the fridge, particularly to make quick and tasty meals during the week. I’m not good at making sauces, so they are perfect – plus you don’t have to have them with fish if you don’t want – you could have teriyaki beef for example.
Here’s what’s new though:
- Seasoned Tuna steaks with Sweet Soy & Chilli Dressing
The tuna is packaged as two flavoursome and juicy steaks, with a peppery seasoning that combines the sweetness of soy with the tantalising sharpness of chilli. The tuna can be pan fried, grilled or baked to deliver a delicious meal for two – and at just 117 calories and 0.3 grams of saturated fat per serving, you can indulge without guilt.

- Salmon and Red Pesto Foil Bake Bag
New for April, The Saucy Fish Co. is inspiring the fish aisle with a pinch of Italian cuisine. Introducing the latest Foil Bake Bag variant, fillet of salmon with mouth-watering red pesto dressing. Aromatic basil, sun dried tomato and nutty pine kernels combine with parmesan in this flavoursome fish accompaniment, creating a delicious red pesto dressing that begs to be roasted on top of stunning salmon fillets.

Making its mark on the fish aisle once again – Saucy is introducing fresh fish fillets with complementary sauces in a neat single portion, making a delicious and luxurious meal for one. There are currently three variants; Sea Bass with Buerre Blanc and Dill dressing, Salmon fillets with Chilli, Lime & Ginger Dressing and Smoked Haddock and Davidstow Cheddar foil bake bag.
Available in Sainsbury’s convenience stores now, priced at £3 (or 2 for £5)
