My first attempt at making a jelly from scratch – a delicious fruity taste of summer! Super easy to make
An updated version of my most popular (and one of my favourite) cupcake recipes. A touch of summer that is quintessentially British!
Condensed milk, strawberry milkshake powder and a cheeky crunch of pecan combine in this squidgy brownie alternative.
This cake has a beautiful texture and fine crumb – I finished it off with a British strawberry buttercream whilst the fruits are in season!
I was sent some nice freebies from the people at American Soda, the American sweet website so I made these fab brownies with the ingredients. There’s a crunchy texture to the top of the brownie, whilst the inside remains slightly gooey – exactly how a brownie should be!
I took the idea of the traditional Eton Mess (fresh cream, meringue and strawberries) but used buttercream. The inside of the cupcake is stripy, which is a nice surprise when you bite into it!
I love the refreshing blend of fruits that you get in Pimm’s: strawberry, cucumber, orange and mint. I’ve been thinking about how best to combine all the flavours into a cupcake and this is the result. The buttercreams all work really well, none of them overpowered each other including the cucumber which I thought would be awful because it’s quite watery.
Summer strawberries, mmm delicious! Making your own strawberry sauce is so incredibly easy, there’s no reason not make it. I loved opening up the cake box and letting the smell of fresh strawberry hit me.
