I went to York this week for a few days and bought those very cupcakes as a present for Neil. They look divine and can't wait to eat them!

I loved York, can't wait to go again!

Hi Claire, the centre was indeed iced with a slightly creamy coloured marzipan! I'd suggest trying to find a half-sphere shaped pan like this one from Nisbets or you could just buy a normal pudding pan like this one from Lakeland, which you could trim and shape as you suggested. Hope that works! x

That cauliflower cake is adorable. I might have a go at making one - and some other veg cakes too. Was the centre ball iced? Any do you have any easy ideas on how to get it round? Maybe I should just cut it until it looks right-ish.
