Mondays are rubbish. Official. Thought I’d just show you a few photos from the weekend rather and post a recipe later in the week!
Our house is finally starting to get sorted! My mum bought us this gorgeous folding table to match with the mid-century modern theme we’ve gone for in our sitting room. Mr Ltt is a sucker for designer chairs so we picked up these Eames Eiffel Chairs to go with it. Until now we were using a patio table – we can’t believe how much difference it’s made swapping it out for a wooden table.
On Saturday we took a road trip to Skipton. It’s so wonderful there. I spotted this awesome Russian shop which has a tea room at the top. I spied (salmon) caviar on the menu which was presented with homemade warm blinis, soured cream , curds and minced onion. It came in at a very reasonable £.6.95.
Mr Ltt had a beef and potato stew. It has wonderful spices in it! They also had a massive selection of teas – I had a vanilla bean black tea!
Despite “being on a diet” I couldn’t resist these sfogliatelle! Two limonata, one cappuccino and a chocolate horn. I only had two – should be rewarded for that!
Ok, I may have had a slice of carrot cake as well, but I did share it with my mum! Very good it was too.
We took a visit to Safran, a Persian restaurant in Leeds. Despite the frosty waitress, the food was excellent – the flatbreads, falafel and houmous being particularly good.
Check this out! The main course was HUGE! The lamb kebabs were full of flavour. Pink sauce was a bit weird though!
Mr Ltt is perfecting his pork ribs. He slow cooked these in the oven for 6 hours and the sauce is a reduction from the juices along with some other ingredients even I am not allowed to hear about! We’ve been planning some ideas for a pork-based supperclub, nothing concrete yet though!
I have been rocking awesome healthy lunches in the past couple of weeks – here’s a glass noodle salad with a spicy peanut sauce…
I also had this awesome pitta pizza from Two peas and their pod.
